  • Should a planning application be submitted for the change of use ( from a community centre) or redevelopment of the site, it will be for the local planning authority to decide the application based on its merits.

History Of the Jubilee House site

  • Jubilee House was originally built as an office building, to accommodate the then Elham Valley District council, which was subsequently folded int F&HDC.
  • In August 1975 permission was granted to change the office use to 4 flats
  • The flats were progressively taken over by Age Concern (later called AgeUK ) as demand and need for a community centre came to be realised. That demand has not gone away.
